We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for those who have graciously, generously and passionately given their time,
space and heart to make this bone marrow donor drive a reality and a possibility of life for others. A special note of gratitude
to Shannon Ayer for offering all of her Pump it Up locations and who has demonstrated great leadership the minute she
heard about Austin and the capability of making a world wide difference!

The Driving Force
Wacky Man Marrow Drive 2008
The "we" is the heart of this drive, the Wacky Man Marrow Drive committee.  It all started in team spirit.  Kym, Austin's mom,
has been playing soccer with her dedicated friends for 20+ years.  Being on the peripheral with Kym and her family as they
have been going through Austin's medical struggles has felt helpless. So, they wanted to be able to do something and that
something is a bone marrow donor drive to increase Austin's chances of living disease free and at the same, saving many
lives too. The committee is made up of Kym's Irving Strike soccer team and dear friends:  Shannon Higgins, Mary Kajs,
Julie Murray,  Gina Rice, Jeanne & John Stricklin, and Austin's sister Kelsey. Kelsey's Girl Scout troop are also dedicated to
helping us in many ways with ensuring  the success of the drive.

A special thanks goes to TJ Rizzo, another great friend of Kym's, who was extremely patient with our needs for many
revisions and created the incredibly professional  Wacky Man Marrow Drive flier.

We would also like to acknowledge Austin's family: dad-Tracy, mom-Kym and sister-Kelsey and Austin for their tremendous
devotion, courage and faith as they have traveled this tumultuous journey.  Austin's courage and unstoppable attitude is
absolutely admirable, especially for a 16 year old!
